Very large, charming, Victorian snake that has coiled him or herself into a lovers knot. Lots of symbolism going on here! In 1840 Queen Victoria received a snake and emerald ring from Prince Albert for their engagement. Which symbolizes eternal love and wisdom. The snake is 18k yellow gold, in a lovers knot, that symbolizes forever, cannot be untied. It’s eyes are demantoid (green) garnets and it is wearing a diamond collar. Dangling from its mouth is a rose cut diamond. Overall it’s one of the biggest Victorian snake pendants I have ever seen, and certainly the coolest!
